Valeria Leal-Cornejo is a law clerk at Rock Trade Law LLC, where she assists attorneys on matters involving U.S. Customs and international trade.

Valeria earned her LL.M., with honors, from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she served as an LL.M. Representative of the International Law Society and worked as a research assistant to Professor Hari M. Osofsky. She also holds an LL.B. (J.D. equivalent) from Universidad de Valparaíso (Chile).

She previously participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the world’s largest moot court focused on public international law, and has served as an arbitrator in the Madrid International Arbitration Moot.

Prior to joining Rock Trade Law, Valeria worked as a researcher and junior associate in Chile and served as Executive Director of the Valparaíso Law School Foundation, where she led international legal initiatives and managed several scholarship programs, including fellowships with the United Nations in Geneva.

Valeria has also served as a lecturer at several Chilean universities and has international academic experience, having completed legal studies and training programs in China, India, Spain, Chile, and the United States. She is a native Spanish speaker.
